Yogi Adityanath : New Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh

Newly elected Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath was born on 5th June 1972 in  Panchur village of Pauri Garhwal  of Uttarakhand. His real name was Ajay Singh Bishat.  He has done his B. Sc. from Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna University, Garhwal,  Uttarakhand.  He has hardline Hindu image.  He left his home and changed his name after indoctrinated into the Nath Sect.  He has been representing Gorakhpur constituency of the Uttar Pradesh since 1998. He became the youngest member to be elected to the 12th Lok Sabha in 1998, that time he was 26 years old. He is a firebrand leader of the Bhartiya Janta Party and known for his straightforward speeches  which many times put him in controversies.  He is the founder of the Hindus  Vahini , which is a renowned  social and nationalist group of young people.  He is basically a staunch Hindu saint and social reformer and rebelled against the BJP on many occasions.  After the death of his guru, Mahant Adityanath,  he was appointed as the chief priest of the famous Gorakhnath Mutt. He is very close to RSS and this played vital role in his becoming the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.  He is known for his controversial comments on love jihad, forcible conversion and cow slaughter. Yogi Adityanath is immensely popular among the masses. In 2014 Lok Sabha he won the seat by the huge margins of 1,42,309 votes.
